Many of us merry-making folk remember Kilo, a brand that once provided the most exciting and liveliest venues ranging from the rustic Camp Kilo to the beats-filled Kilo Lounge. While many of their concepts have shuttered, there’s always a soft spot in us for them. That’s why we’re so excited to hear of Kilo Singapore’s reopening, improved and raring to impress.

That’s right, Kilo Singapore is back with a facelift at their 97 Duxton Road home with a facelift and fresh new concepts, just in time for their 10th anniversary.

Expect the most idyllic vibes in the soft rustic browns and warm pops of colour, it almost feels like you’re vacationing in a relaxing sun-lit beach house with the sea-scented breeze blowing in from the ocean.

In terms of food, you can expect the heartiest, most flavoursome indulgences from Kilo Singapore’s menu. The facelift comes with impressive new toys in the form of natural flame kitchens and wood-fired grills for the chefs to churn out smoky Latin-American-inspired dishes. While Latin American cuisine is on a slow rise in Singapore, we welcome Kilo Singapore to spearhead the new trend.

To fit into the Latin American vibes, consider getting some Tacos to nibble on—for meat lovers, it’s the juicy Iberico Pork Jowl Taco (S$16/two pieces) and the Yellow-fin Tuna Taco (S$16/two pieces) will call out to the seafood crazed. Speaking of seafood, you won’t want to miss out on the Signature Kilo Squid Ink Rice with Crispy Calamari (S$26) for a squid-fuelled party in the mouth.

But when it comes to Latin American food and grills, the most natural item that comes to mind is steak. And Kilo Singapore has upped the ante by procuring their own dry-age machine to deliver the most exquisite cuts to diners. From the humble Australian Angus Striploin (S$38/300g) to the opulent T-Bone Wagyu (S$118/1.1kg) with a marbling score of 4-5, you can be sure any meat cravings will be duly satiated.
