Dessert cafes are everywhere but there’s one thing Madam Ooze promises that others don’t—a trip away from home. “How is this possible?” you might ask. Well, just take a look at the cafe picturesque interior and you will know exactly what I mean.

Situated on the ground floor of Singapore’s first and only luxury backpacker’s hostel, Adler Hostel, Madam Ooze is a dessert bar and cafe which boasts an exotic bohemian vibe unlike any other. Here, the space is filled with an assembly of chic furniture of different colours and styles, which comes together to exude a charming unique vibe that transports you to vacation spots like Bali and Maldives.

Ice creams (S$4.20 for a single scoop, S$8 for a double scoop, S$11 for triple scoop) aside, Madam Ooze also offers fresh bakes like Croissants (S$4.50) and Cinnamon Buns (S$2.50). Choose to savour these bakes alone or use them as vessels to go with your icy treats.

Don’t miss out on the cafe’s signature Crocream (from S$8.70) during your visit to Madam Ooze. This dessert combines the best of both worlds—crisp, fragrant croissants together with the cool sweetness of specially curated ice cream.

One of the cafe’s recommendation is Madame Ooze’s signature Kyoto Houjicha and New York Blueberry Cheesecake ice cream sprinkled with freeze-dried raspberries and mandarin oranges. Best enjoyed with their in-house sauces like Mandarin Orange Dark Chocolate Fudge and Salted Butterscotch, the Crocream is an addictive treat that will surely tickle your fancy!

How can a dessert bar not have beverages? Coffees and teas aside, Madame Ooze also serves up a range of mocktails (from S$13 to S$15) for you to pair with their sweets. Whilst Mr. Black makes for a great option for caffeine lovers, fans of fruity flavours can indulge in Momo San, a light and refreshing concoction filled with the sweetness from the use of peaches and lavender syrup.
