If there’s one thing I dearly miss from my Hong Kong trips, it’s a gao and refreshing cup of yuenyeung (coffee with tea). Luckily, the folks over at McDonald’s Singapore have heard my calls. They’ve just released a new ice cream flavour!
Introducing the all-new Coffee Milk Tea soft serve ice cream! Following the lacklustre Popcorn Caramel soft serve, I was very eager to find out how this new flavour would fare. You can get yours too since it’s now available at all McDonald’s outlets.
At first glance, the orange hue of the Coffee Milk Tea Cone (S$1) reminded us of McDonald’s Thai Milk Tea Cone from a while back. However, there was a profound fragrance of coffee which was unmistakable to us coffee lovers.
Indeed, the dessert had a strong, decadent milk tea flavour. That said, though, the coffee aspect of it wasn’t as prominent. Its bitterness was only touch-and-go and didn’t linger on as we had hoped. Hence, the satisfaction didn’t last long.
As is the case for McDonald’s seasonal new soft serve flavours, you can also get this flavour in other forms. There’s the Coffee Milk Tea Chococone (S$1.20), Coffee Milk Tea McFlurry (S$3) and several others.

Additionally, McDonald’s has also brought back two items on their menu: Fish & Fries (S$7.30 onwards) and Sweet Chilli Fish Burger (S$6 onwards).
I’m sure both items will be well-received again since they attracted rather positive responses from last year. I’m also a personal fan of the former as nothing screams comfort finger food to me like fried fish and fries.
What other items do you want McDonald’s Singapore to bring back next? We’ve just had the McGriddles, so I’m hoping the Hokkaido Salmon Burger is on the list!
Dates & Timings: Available now for a limited period at all McDonald’s Singapore outlets
