Collage Of Tea And Pouring Shot Of Coffee

If there was ever an addiction that can mark this generation of Singaporean millennials,  it would be our undying thirst for coffee. There is no greater joy than meeting a barista who knows exactly how we like our coffee and where those beans are from. So, it appears there is no greater joy when you hear of specialty coffee joints like Parched to feed this obsession.

You can find Parched in the lobby at Aspial One, and these folks are serious about their coffee and their tea as well. Yes, be still my beating heart. They roast in small batches and even have an online store so you can purchase all the coffee-making equipment to ensure your cuppa is exactly the way you like it.

If you know anything about coffee, you’ll be pleased to know that Parched offers two options for their espresso-based drinks. There is a single-origin from Ethiopia from Bale Mountain, which is supposed to give notes of ginger flower, lime, dried raspberries, oregano, accompanied with a long-lasting finish. These beans are more suited to the Black (S$3 for 5oz, $5 for 10oz). While their other blend is more suited for a White ($3 5oz, $5 10oz).

If you are not a coffee drinker, Parched pays just as much attention to their teas. They have the earthy Wulong (S$5) or the elegant Red Tea ($5) from Long Du Village. Afternoons at Parched sound like the respite we all need.

One of the best parts about Parched is that it’s near the driving school at Ubi. So, if you ever feel like you need a pick-me-up after a rather unpleasant session with your driving school instructor, Parched will soothe your frazzled nerves.
