DOHKIE is giving their well-loved edible cookie dough a Chinese New Year twist with the Pineapple Tart Edible Cookie Set (1 for S$18.80, 6 for S$108).

Pineapple tarts are a quintessential Chinese New Year goodie, but together with cookie dough? Hmm.

This pineapple tart cookie dough comes in quite a substantial 550g tub complete with a serving spoon. Very bountiful indeed.

The cookie dough looks very much like most of DOHKIE’s edible cookie dough. With the exception of a little mound of pineapple tart filling in the middle. Still kinda sceptical about how this will taste, I cautiously scooped a spoonful of cookie dough.

I would have to say, unlike most of their doughs this one was not too cloying. I liked how the pineapple filling was well distributed throughout the dough. It wasn’t too far off from eating pineapple tarts.

This is certainly something different and creative to add to your CNY repertoire, but in terms of pineapple tarts nothing too exceptional. A fun and novel treat to share when relatives come over for sure.

If you are keen on this pineapple tart cookie dough, order now to get special early bird pricing.

But, I think I’m going to stick to the traditional pineapple tarts this year.

Prices: 1 for S$18.80, 6 for S$108 (Till 20 Jan); 1 for S$20.80, 6 for S$120 (21 Jan onwards)
