Regular customers and fans frequently lined up to enjoy his low-cost delights. Mr Ng was known for his old school Block-Ice Cream which you can have in either a cup, cone or wafer.

In a CNA video back in 2017, it was reported that Uncle Ng has not been paying his bills which is why he relied on his then, approximately S$700 income from selling ice cream.
