After a sudden goodbye and months of waiting, Sim Lim Square Bak Chor Mee reopened at a coffee shop under Block 55 Lengkok Bahru. Business officially began at their new location on 16 Oct, one day after they announced it on their Facebook page.

When they closed their stall at Sim Lim Square, they clarified on Facebook that they were not gone for good, just taking a break. They promised to update everyone once they found a new location. Now, with the help of a new partner, they can continue their 2-decade-long legacy.

There’s not only a change in scenery but their prices as well. Their Signature Bak Chor Mee has been lowered to S$4.90 and the Mini Pot Noodle is now S$5.90. In fact, they seem to be sticking to their roots as no radical changes are in sight. The good old soup and dumpling menu items remain as well.

Their reopening clearly sparked joy as their announcement post has been met with comments of ‘Finally!’. Fans mentioned how they missed Sim Lim Square Bak Chor Mee and some were already excited to go down for a bowl.

In fact, some of their regulars had already made the trip. One of them even wrote a review on Google, rejoicing about the same great taste and the lower prices. Other comments you can see repeated are that they are value for money, generous with ingredients and that the noodles themselves are noteworthy.

Sim Lim Square Bak Chor Mee may be an old-timer in legacy but they clearly still got it. The loyalty they gained wasn’t bought with money but with good noodles. If you’re curious to see what the fuss is yourself, you know where to go.
