Sinpopo Brand has recently shifted to TANGS in Tang Plaza on 8 Dec 2022, marking an end to its decade-long association with its former home at 459 Joo Chiat Road. This shift will not only change its location, but it also signifies the brand’s switch to a dining-focused restaurant in the form of Sinpopo Brand Restaurant.

The Sinpopo Brand started out in 2013 in an attempt to preserve the unique Peranakan culture and cuisine that was prominent in Katong back in the 1950s. They do so by running Sinpopo Brand Coffee, as well as offer artisanal cakes and bakes with authentic local recipes.

The flagship Sinpopo Brand Restaurant will feature revamped Singapore favourites such as the Sinpopo Signature Nasi Lemak (S$22) which consists of fluffy coconut rice, beef cheek rendang, assam sambal prawn, sotong hitam, har jeong kai wings, soft-centred egg with house-made sambal and ikan bilis

You could also have a homey communal meal with dishes available to be ordered individually, just like a zi char restaurant. Some of the said dishes are Bak Kut Teh 2-Ways (S$20), Auntie Mei’s Salted Vegetable Duck Soup (S$20), Fei Po Char Siew (S$18) and Ladies’ Fingers & Eggplant Sambal (S$14). Be sure to order either the Lemak Rice (S$3) or Steamed Jasmine Rice (S$2) to complete your meal!
