Halloween is finally here, and Starbucks has launched their festive menu. Due to popular demand, Starbucks has brought back their Pumpkin Spiced Latte (S$7.20/tall, S$7.80/grande, S$8.30/venti) this year. Joining the drink is another unique flavour crafted specifically for Singapore: the Zombie Frappuccino (S$7.90/tall, S$8.80/grande, S$9.60/venti).
The Zombie Frappuccino is made with a combination of rich black sesame and sweet red bean. After a couple of sips, there was a lingering feeling of the grainy black sesame at the back of my throat.
I didn’t enjoy this drink as much because it reminded me of the Chinese green bean soup, which I don’t really like. But that’s just me.
The Pumpkin Spiced Latte was first introduced on Halloween 2017. This is a blend of Starbucks signature espresso and spices, such as pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg and cloves. You can choose to have it Hot, Cold, or as a Frappuccino (S$7.90/tall, S$8.80/grande, S$9.60/venti).
The latte was slightly spicy and sweet from the pumpkin spice sprinkled on top. However, there was barely a single tinge of cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves in the coffee, as the sweetness of the drink was overpowering.

If these drinks aren’t enough to create the Halloween mood, Starbucks also sells Halloween-themed sweets. Psst, they have desserts such as the Velvet Cake (S$5.90), Chocolate Cake (S$6.50) and Lemon Drizzle Cake (S$5.90).
Head over to any Starbucks to enjoy these festive-themed desserts and drinks to get you ready for a spooky Halloween!
