In July of this year, the Singapore Food Agency (SFA) approved 16 species of insects for human consumption. These include mealworms, grasshoppers, crickets and silkworms. Serving as a sustainable alternative to meat, these creepy crawlies are packed with protein but emit fewer greenhouse gasses in production.

Takagi Ramen’s Halloween menu features 2 new Japanese fusion prawn noodle dishes: the Fiery Dry Prawn Noodles and Mysterious Prawn Noodle Soup, both priced at S$10.90. Each comes with the option to upgrade to a set meal priced at S$12.90, which includes a choice of new drinks (Divine Soursop Potion and Enchanted Fruit Talisman)

A combination of prawn heads simmered for 4 hours and their signature thick Tonkotsu broth, they promise to be an umami-rich meal unlike ever before. Coupled with the aromatic spicy sauce coating the noodles, it truly is a bewitching experience for your taste buds!
