For Valentine’s Day this year, Lawry’s is introducing a six-course dinner menu (S$189 per pax, with a takeaway bottle of Freixnet Ice Cava Especial IV for every pair of set menus), available for three nights from 13 to 15 February 2020.
Start your night with the seasonally-changing amuse-bouche, Grilled Hokkaido Scallop, Smoked Salmon & Baby Octopus, as well as the rich Creamy Crab Bisque With Grilled Tiger Prawn. Refresh your palate with the Smoked Duck Breast Salad before the main course.
And of course, the main course is the Signature Roasted USDA Prime Rib Of Beef—aged for 28 days and slowly roasted on a bed of rock salt. Though if you are more partial to seafood, choose the Broiled Atlantic Lobster Tail With Red Mullet Fillet.
Finally, end your dinner on a sweet note with the Chocolate Hazelnut Praline Feuilletine, a rich and dark chocolate praline cake served with crunchy crepe. Make your date night extra magical, because Lawry’s will be taking photographs during the dinner, and they’ll send it to the couples.

2. Capella Singapore
What’s more romantic than an island getaway? Luxury five-star hotel Capella Singapore on Sentosa Island gives us not one, but two options on 14 February 2020, from 6.30pm – 10pm.
The Knolls, an all-day restaurant with a view of the cascading pools and the South China Sea, has an intimate atmosphere that’s perfect for date night. The specially-curated four-course menu (S$148++ per pax, top-up S$88++ per pax for wine pairing) starts with Hokkaido Scallop Carpaccio and Green Asparagus Veloute to open up your appetite.

Steak and wine is one of those classic date night meals, and where better than Wooloomooloo Steakhouse? Located in Swissotel The Stamford, the floor-to-ceiling windows provide a spectacular view of Singapore’s city skyline.
Specialising in cuts of premium beef, you know a meal here is sure to be mouth-watering. If you’re bringing your partner on a night out, impress them with the four-course dinner (S$118++ per pax) on either 13 or 14 February 2020 in this romantic, dimly-lit restaurant. Book early to secure a table next to the windows. You can also order from the a la carte menu on these two days, if that’s your preference.
Set the mood right with a trio of Irish oysters drizzled with namjim sauce as the starter, then whet your appetite with a choice of either the Garlic Tiger Prawn or Filet Mignon Steak Tartare.

4. Raffles Hotel Singapore
They say that French is the language of love, but if you aren’t fluent, treating your partner to a French dinner might be the next best thing.
Give your loved one a romantic treat at three Michelin-starred Chef Anne-Sophie Pic’s La Dame de Pic in Raffles Hotel Singapore. On 14 & 15 February 2020, indulge in a six-course menu (S$288++ per pax, top-up S$158++ per pax for wine pairing) at one of Singapore’s most romantic restaurants.
Start with Brown Crab From Brittany, served with creamy dill, sobacha (buckwheat tea), and fine mikan (satsuma mandarin) jelly. The sweet and dense crabmeat is sure to be a treat for seafood lovers.
The Berlingots are Chef Anne-Sophie Pic’s signature pasta, and come in a mushroom broth with geranium and ginger. Pyramid-shaped and matcha-flavoured, the pasta is named after the French hard caramel candy and is stuffed with French cheese fondue.
The firm yet flaky John Dory From Brittany is steamed with peppermint and served with roasted green asparagus and black truffle. Meat lovers may prefer the Saga Wagyu Beef in a Gedeo coffee and sake marinade. Sprinkled with Kampot pepper, the beef dish also comes with butter-roasted celeriac.
End off on a light and refreshing note with tropical fruits, and ginger and sencha ice cream.

5. Rang Mahal
Add some spice to your love life, and treat your date to Valentine’s Day dinner at Indian fine-dining restaurant, Rang Mahal, in Pan Pacific Singapore. The five-course dinner menu (S$138++ per pax, top-up S$30++ per pax for one mini-bottle of Bottega, top-up S$50++ per pax for a bottle of Rosé for two pax) is available only on 14 February 2020.
Take it slow with a Cabbage Consommé consisting of red cabbage, coriander, lemon, ginger and onion. Whet your appetite with the tasty Patrani Fish—this banana leaf-wrapped golden pomfret is steamed in the chef’s special marinade and served with grilled asparagus.
After a palate cleanser of Pehli Mulakaat (raspberry and rose milk yolk), move on to the mains. The chargrilled pistachio Lamb Chop comes with barley green pea pulao (rice cooked in spices), quinoa, pomegranate and nihari (slow-cooked meat stew) sauce.
Dessert is a refreshing Orange Rasgula—stuffed orange and cottage cheese jelly with plum sauce and lychee kulfi (traditional Indian ice cream).
There’s also a vegetarian menu available if you’re on a meatless diet.

6. MONTI at 1-Pavilion
Love is in the air, at authentic Tuscan restaurant MONTI at 1-Pavilion—which boasts a panoramic view of Marina Bay. From 10 to 16 February 2020, you can celebrate Valentine’s Day with a three-course lunch menu (S$68++ per pax) and a five-course dinner menu (S$180++ per pax with non-window seat, S$220++ per pax with window seat).
The afternoon meal begins with the Maine Lobster Tail Carpaccio, served with coveted ingredients like Kyoho grapes, avruga caviar and a literal dusting of gold.
The mains include House Made Ravioli that’s stuffed with fresh burrata, langoustine and foie gras, the Roasted Rack Of Lamb on a bed of cream of black garlic and buttered garlic roasted potato, and the Roasted Black Cod Fillet with breaded prawn, frothy capers and basil espuma.
Dinner-goers—from 6pm – 10.30pm—can enjoy the sunset and city lights, as they munch on appetisers like Chef’s Choice Of Amuse Bouche, Maine Lobster Tail Carpaccio, House Made Ravioli and Deep-Fried Free Range Egg with cream of spinach and truffle caviar.
The choice of mains remains the same as lunch, but you can’t miss the dessert. An exquisite White Chocolate With Creamy Mascarpone Cheese completes the romantic dining experience.
If you’re at the window seat, you might be lucky enough to catch the light show. Spectra – A Light & Water Show runs at 8pm and 9pm, so splash out a little on the window seats.

Start the meal with the Oyster With Cucumber Ceviche & Thai Salsa, a piquant and briny combination that’s sure to open up your appetite. The subsequent Prawn Ravioli With Black Bean Beurre Blanc packs a flavourful punch, but save your stomach space for what’s to come.
Seafood lovers will enjoy the Maine Lobster With Braised Daikon, Celtuce & Lobster Bisque—I’m partial to lobster bisques myself. If you prefer meatier dishes, the Chargrilled Australian Wagyu Striploin With Silken Potato, Glazed Tubers & Natural Jus will be right up your alley.
Those with a sweet tooth will appreciate the Textures Of Valrhona Chocolate, a rich dessert to complete your meal.

8. Adrift by David Myers
David Myers’ modern take on an izakaya, Adrift, brings us Asian-inspired dishes with meats grilled over bincho charcoal. This Valentine’s Day, you can celebrate in style with a five-course dinner (S$118++ per pax, top-up S$78++ per pax for cocktail and wine pairing)—regardless of your relationship status.
Start off with oysters with apple and lemon thyme, mackerel in nori and miso, and a tasty chicken liver parfait. Once you’ve whetted your appetite, indulge in Tuna With Smoked Tomato, Caviar & Shiso, Uni With Noodles, Dashi, Truffle & Parsley, and more.

9. Andaz Singapore
Take your love to greater heights, and celebrate Valentine’s Day at 665°F, on the 38th floor of Andaz Singapore. On 14 February 2020, treat your date to a four-course dinner menu (S$168++ per pax) within the Saville Row-inspired restaurant.
Start the night with a bang, and slurp up aphrodisiac fresh oysters seasoned with pickled celery, lemon gel and dill oil. The Avocado Tartare comes next, topped with Kaluga Queen caviar, celery and chives.
Simply prepared, the Hokkaido Scallops are cooked in brown butter for an addictive aroma. For mains, choose either the Grilled Phoenix Wagyu Tenderloin MS 6/7 with Jerusalem artichoke, mushroom duxelles (finely chopped, sautéed and reduced to paste) and lotus root, or the Signature Boston Lobster Thermidor.
Save some space for the sticky and sweet dessert, a warm Valrhona chocolate cake with strawberries and vanilla mascarpone.

For those of you struck by the arrow of love, pop by The Queen & Mangosteen in VivoCity on 14 February 2020.
This gourmet British pub offers a whimsically-named three-course menu (S$98++ per couple) that’s sure to delight. Love At First Bite is a sharing plate of salmon gravlax and breaded oysters with avocado and passionfruit dressing.
When it comes to the Main Affairs, you can opt for the Heart Strings, which is a baked garlic butter lobster squid ink pasta with cherry tomato and basil. For something heavier, Cupid’s Steak will fill you up with pan-seared filet mignon (150g), together with king oyster mushroom, rosemary potato and whisky mustard sauce.
End off with Sweet Surrender, a yuzu pistachio chocolate cake with a crunchy chocolate pearl base.
You can clink your glasses with a drink or two—try Love Birds (S$18++ per glass), a specially-crafted Valentine’s Day cocktail consisting of pomegranate and strawberries with vodka, and topped with double cream.

11. ETNA Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria
Well-known for its contemporary Italian cuisine with Sicilian influence, ETNA Italian Restaurant & Pizzeria presents an exclusive Valentine’s Day menu that’ll transport you to the streets of Italy.
Available on 14 February 2020, the four-course menu is priced at S$86++ per pax, including a welcome cocktail.
Expect specially-curated dishes like the homemade strawberry tagliatelle pasta, served in mascarpone cream with oysters and whiskey, or the risotto with Mazara red prawns in prosecco wine, kiwi and sour cream, and topped with prawn powder.
What I’m looking forward to is the seared veal tenderloin with foie gras escalope, red potatoes and black winter truffle. Mm, I can already feel the foie gras melting in my mouth.
