The verdict is out; The Golden Duck Co has finally revealed the identity of its latest addition to their family of delectable snacks. Introducing the winner of The Great Snack Showdown: the Tom Yum Goong Gourmet Mix.

Since their establishment, The Golden Duck Co has been delighting fans with bold and unique creations such as the Chili Crab Seaweed Tempura and the Sichuan Mala Hot Pot Fragrant Mix. To mix things up, the brand decided to give fellow golden duckies an opportunity to co-create their new product through a three-week ‘The Great Snack Showdown’ poll.

This time around, fans can not only pick their favourite between three classic Asian flavours—Beef Rendang, Laksa and Tom Yum—but also choose the ingredients to be included in the new mix itself!

More than 10,000 supporters have spoken and after weeks voting the Tom Yum Goong Gourmet Mix (S$7.80 per packet, S$39 for Snackbox consisting of five packets) was created.

A masterful collaboration with Thailand’s famous Blue Elephant Royal Thai Cuisine, this new snack is a medley of appetite-inducing flavours in a pack. Instead of The Golden Duck Co’s signature fish skin, the Tom Yum Goong Gourmet Mix uses lotus root crips, oyster mushrooms and shrimp chins to mimic the rich, briny seafood flavours of the classic Thai favourite.

Spice lovers can also choose to bring up the heat with their Spice Booster Pack which is included in your packet of Tom Yum Goong Gourmet Mix. Sprinkle in the powder and give your packet a vigorous shake to enjoy that extra oomph bite after bite.
