Coffee fanatics, you’ll be in for a sweet treat. Oriole Coffee + Bar, everyone’s favourite cafe located outside 313 @ Somerset and Pan Pacific Serviced Suites, has just launched a new menu on 25 January 2022.

Founded in 2008, Oriole Coffee + Bar is a cafe by day and bar by night. During the day, the cafe specialises in freshly brewed gourmet coffee and hearty classics, perfect for an intimate gathering with friends and loved ones. As the sun goes down, chill and kick back with Oriole Coffee + Bar’s happy hour promotions, which include 1-for-1 on selected wines by the glass.

The newest addition to their menu is the Popcorn Pancakes (S$18).

Frankly, it’s a genius invention. Three fluffy pancakes are topped with rich whipped cream, and freshly popped popcorn is scattered generously on top — the perfect combination of sweet and savoury flavours.

To top the dish off, you’ll also get tangy assorted berries and a smooth house-made salted caramel sauce.

If you prefer savoury and hearty breakfast classics like shakshuka, you’ll definitely love the Baked Tiger Prawns (S$28).

Featuring tiger brawns and chorizo, this dish comes packed with flavour. Melted provolone, a savoury house-made chimichurri sauce, melted butter, and of course — sourdough toast for you to dip and enjoy.

Personally, I’m the kind of girl who orders salmon with her scrambled eggs and toast, so Oriole Coffee + Bar’s newest Smoked Salmon Waffle (S$22) immediately appealed to me.

A playful spin on the popular chicken and waffle dish, Oriole Coffee + Bar’s rendition features smoked salmon slices which are wrapped prettily into a rose-like shape and placed on top of velvety dill cream cheese, sliced avocado and freshly made Belgian waffles.

To balance out the heaviness of the cream cheese, fried capers and pickled onions are sprinkled on top of the dish as well.

For those looking to wind down with a pint or two, Oriole Coffee + Bar has also launched a new happy hour from Mondays to Thursdays (2pm to 7.30pm) and Fridays to Saturdays (2pm to 6pm or 8pm to late). The happy hour promotion includes 1-for-1 on selected wines by the glass and specially priced beers and wines, such as Asahi and Kronenbourg Blanc.
