I’m sure you’ve spotted a 4FINGERS Crispy Chicken outlet at least once whenever you’re out shopping or running your errands, mostly in shopping malls located around the heartlands, or even in town. And now, 4FINGERS Crispy Chicken has opened a takeaway outlet below a four-storey HDB shophouse unit in Ang Mo Kio on 1 June 2022. Yes! You heard it right. They’re literally at a void deck— how cool is that?

Here’s some background about 4FINGERS Crispy Chicken—  they’re a Singaporean-based multinational chain of fast casual restaurants that specialises in crispy Asian-style fried chicken. When I say Asian-style, I mean Korean-style.

The company was founded after its creators tried Korean-style fried chicken in New York City’s Korea town. Korean fried chicken tends to be lighter and crispier with a thin, almost paper-like skin that is not heavily battered.

Over at their Ang Mo Kio outlet, there are no tables and chairs available for dining in unfortunately. It is strictly only for takeaway. There are two counters, one pickup counter for those that choose to take away their orders upon arriving at the shop, the other is online order pickup, where you can place your orders even before you reached the shop, and just grab it and leave.

I tried placing a test order on their website, but strangely there was no option for me to choose this outlet as my choice of collection. Perhaps we have to be patient and give them a while to get their system updated.

With more food and beverage outlets coming closer to the heartlands itself, such as Each A Cup and now 4FINGERS Crispy Chicken, it looks like we don’t have to travel so far to get some of our cravings fixed in the near future.
