If you’re a lover of Thai food and oysters, I have good news for you. Tara Thai, a new contemporary Thai restaurant, will be having an opening promo selling oysters for just S$2 throughout the whole month of August!

Tara Thai, which opened on 25 July 2022 along Circular Road, is helmed by Chef Darwin Wong and native Thai Chef Rit. Tara Thai offers upscale Thai dishes and cocktails.

Aside from the oysters, there are a variety of dishes to look forward to at this new restaurant. Enjoy appetisers like Tender Duck Spring Roll (S$12), consisting of seared duck breast, spicy bean sprouts and in-house sweet and spicy sauce, Signature Moo Ping (S$12), made of Iberico pork with in-house marination, spiced chilli powder and crushed peanuts, and Tom Yum Crispy Squid (S$13), seasoned with tom yum spice, crispy shallots and sriracha mayo.

Their small plate dishes include their Tara Smoked Salmon Miang Kham (S$23), Coconut Fried Eel Sandwich (S$18), Thai Octopus Leg Salad (S$21) and Mussel Green Curry (S$21). I’m most fascinated by the Ants Egg Tom Saap (S$18), which is made with Thai mixed mushrooms, wild ant eggs and spicy broth.

Indulge in Tara Thai’s mains like their BBQ Wagyu Steak (350g) (S$78), Claypot Pad Kra Prao Pork Cheek (S$36), Deep Sea Spiny Lobster Thai Braised Glass Noodle (S$48) and Tara’s Salt Baked French Cod (S$46).

The Tara Signature Tom Yum (S$16) is made with acar Thai mango, vodka, egg white and lemon juice, while Lemon Grass Thai Tea (S$18) contains red Thai tea, lemon grass, gin and ginger. Kaya Coconut Milkshake (S$16) is another option, made with pandan kaya, Malibu rum and vodka.
