FATCAT Ice Cream Bar at Bedok has ceased operations on 30 Nov 2022 after almost 7 years of serving housemade ice-creams and desserts such as tarts, cakes and waffles. FATCAT Ice Cream Bar first opened its door in Jan 2015 at Bedok.

In an Instagram post on 18 Nov 2022, they announced that they were into their second last weekend “at our beloved first hideout over at Bedok”. The Bedok outlet was home to several exclusive items such as Brown Butter Waffles, Charcoal Cones, Butter Coffee and Reverse S’mores. It is also popular for its Charcoal Waffle with Salted Egg Yolk Sauce and Double Scoop combo.

The reason for the closure was undisclosed.

Sombre news aside, their second outlet at Kovan located at 15 Simon Road will still be running. You can still enjoy their ice cream bar which consists of 18 flavours such as Hokkaido Milk, Strawberry Basil and Caramelised Banana. There are even alcohol-infused flavours such as Butter Beer, Chocolate Old Fashioned and Mulled Wine Spiced Pear.

A Single Scoop costs S$4.80 or S$6 with a cone whilst a Double Scoop goes for S$8.80 and S$10 with a cone. There is an additional S$1 charge for premium flavours. You can even get a Wafflettes Sandwich (S$14.80) which has 2 scoops of ice cream sandwiched over 2 pieces of crispy mini waffles.

There are also cakes and pastries such as Chocolate Passionfruit Cake (S$10), Blueberry Milk Tea Cake (S$12) and Matcha Black Sesame Tart (S$10). Here’s hoping FATCAT Ice Cream Bar will bring its Bedok-exclusive items to Kovan!
