The highly anticipated Korean thriller Exhuma is slated to hit the Singapore screens on 14 Mar. Directed by Jang Jae-hyun, renowned for his occult genre films with hits like The Priest and Svaha: The Sixth Finger, this latest offering is poised to deliver another spine-chilling experience that is not to be overlooked.

Having premiered on 22 Feb in Korea, Exhuma swiftly dominated the South Korean box office, surpassing over 2 million viewers within 4 days of its premiere.

Despite its Thursday release, the film not only garnered impressive viewership numbers but also set the record for the most screened movie nationwide, surpassing Wonka and Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba – To the Hashira Training.

It features a star-studded cast, including veteran actors Choi Min Shik and Yoo Hae Jin, alongside rising stars Kim Go Eun and Lee Do Hyun. The film follows two shamans (played by Kim and Lee), a feng shui master (played by Choi), and a mortician (played by Yoo) in their quest for answers following mysterious and chilling supernatural events surrounding a wealthy family in Los Angeles.

Together, they set out to excavate and relocate the family’s ancestral grave in exchange for a massive amount of money. Little do they know that this venture will lead them down a path of dire consequences as their actions unwittingly awaken an evil force buried within the grave. 

With an impressive IMDb rating of 7.4 out of 10, Exhuma is a must-see film for every horror/thriller movie lover. With its intriguing plot and talented cast, the film promises to captivate the viewers, keeping them on the edge of their seats while leaving them yearning for more.
