1. Vicoletto Osteria (#01-100/101)

If you’re a fan of Italian cuisine, Vicoletto Osteria would be up your alley. Known for its artisanal pizza and authentic flavours, the restaurant uses fresh and premium ingredients in its dishes, making its food worth the price.
On top of Italian classics like the Margherita Pizza (S$15++) and Homemade Lasagna (S$17++), you can also find unique flavours at this restaurant.

While reading their menu, I was surprised to see Four Cheese & Honey Pizza (S$19++) as a featured dish. Honey with cheese? Doesn’t sound like a typical combination, but it worked surprisingly well.
The pizza appeals to cheese fanatics with 4 premium cheese variations, including gorgonzola, a type of blue cheese. Another important player is the wildflower honey, which enhances the richness of the pizza by adding sweetness and a syrupy texture to it.

For a taste of nature, you could try the Wild Mushroom Agnolotti (S$15++). Stuffed with fresh mushrooms, an earthy taste explodes in your mouth on the first bite.

2. Hikiniku To Come (#01-102/103)

Craving hamburger steak? Hikiniku To Come is for you. The restaurant’s name means ‘minced meat and rice’, which is also their sole main dish. The Hikiniku To Come Set (S$27.90++) includes up to 3 juicy hamburger steaks, 1 miso soup, 1 raw egg, and rice with free refills.

For the complete Hikiniku To Come experience, try eating your patty in 3 different ways! To start, have your first patty without any toppings to savour its original meaty flavour. Next, pair your second patty with radish and ponzu sauce for an additional burst of citrus and vinegar flavour. Finally, coat your third patty with a viscous texture by topping it with raw egg.

After tasting all 3 versions, I picked the second as my favourite. Try them and see which you prefer.
Hikiniku To Come also offers 2 sides: Raw Kimchi (S$7.90++) and Potato Salad with Minced Meat (S$7.90++). My favourite was the Potato Salad with Minced Meat. Mixed with cucumbers and onions, you can hear a crunch in your mouth when biting into it!
If you’re looking for a unique kimchi experience, consider the Raw Kimchi. Unlike typical Korean kimchi, where the vegetables are preserved and fermented, the vegetables used here are fresh and do not have a sour, acidic taste.
Best for: Hamburger steak fans

3. SERVUS German Burger Grill (#01-57)

Hailing from the city of Munich, SERVUS German Burger Grill (formerly known as Hans Im Glück) is a popular German restaurant that specialises in gourmet grilled burgers. The rebranding happened in Nov 2024 to honour their roots while expanding their menu. With its chic and comfortable atmosphere, the restaurant is ideal for everything from lively get-togethers to quiet date nights.

You’ll be spoiled for choice when you peruse their menu — it consists of a wide array of juicy burgers that’ll appeal to just about anyone. Each burger consists of a hefty patty served with lettuce, onions, tomatoes and their signature sauce.
I’ve returned time and again for their range of beef burgers, including the barbecue sauce-laden Wilder Western (S$16.90++ à la carte, S$20.90++ for set) and my go-to Käse & Speck (S$17.90++ à la carte, S$21.90++ for set) that’s layered with cheese and bacon. I always have mine in a set with soda and sweet potato fries.
If you don’t eat beef, Grilled Chicken Breast Burgers and Vegan Burgers are available too.

4. Torikizoku (#01-104/105)

Wondering where to find affordable yet authentic Japanese yakitori? Torikizoku is the spot for you. This famous yakitori brand has over 600 outlets in Japan, and with the Japanese eatery finally in Singapore, you no longer need to leave the country for their yakitori.
The chain adopts a similar model to Daiso, where pricing is standardised for most items. Besides the kids’ menu and alcoholic drinks, everything else is priced at S$3.90++, including rice & noodle dishes!

A personal favourite of mine is the Chicken Meatball with Cheese. Grilled to a beautiful golden brown, its exterior has a sweet flavour and caramelised texture. The meatball is topped with a layer of melted cheese, adding a savoury twist to it. The meat is also soft and easy to chew.

Besides skewers, the yakitori eatery also offers mains, and a fan favourite is the Kamameshi Chicken & Rice. When the food arrives, you wait 20 minutes for it to cook and another 5 minutes for the food to rest. Upon lifting the lid, a trail of steam emerges, and you’ll enjoy a hot bowl of sticky rice infused with the flavour of chicken and vegetables.

5. Fei Zap Mai Laan (#01-167/168)

Next on the list is Fei Zap Mai Laan. This brand, which has over 80 outlets in China, uses a 60+ year-old heritage recipe from Hong Kong.

Don’t know what to order here? Fei Zap Mai Laan has a few Signature bowls to get you started. Among them is Mighty Four Bowl (S$13.90), which contains ham, wu xiang, fish roe balls and char siew.
Besides the generous spread of ingredients, Fei Zap Mai Laan’s broth is also said to have a complex flavour. The stir-fried zhajiang and minced meat are added to the bone base, creating a multi-layered taste.

Another signature is the Pickled Punch Beef Bowl (S$15.90). The dish is described as “Zingy, Spicy, Addictive” on their menu, and is the go-to for those who love the numbing effect of mala.
Want to customise your own bowl to achieve your desired flavour? Fei Zap Mai Laan allows you to select your own toppings, staple and soup base, so that you can enjoy a dish catered to your taste buds.

6. dipndip (#01-51)

Name your favourite sweet treats. Ice cream, pancakes and waffles, this dessert shop has it all. Beyond these typical dessert offerings, dipndip specialises in sweet crepes. We tried their small Oreo Fettuccine crepe (S$13.80++), where the crepe is sliced into thin, delicate strips that look like fettuccine.

The dessert is topped with Oreo, and you can customise it by selecting between white, milk or dark chocolate as the dip. When the food arrives, the friendly staff will help you pour the dip onto your crepe, and you can decide how much dip to add. The crepe also comes with an ice cream of your choice.
Dipndip was launched in 2009 in Lebanon, and has since expanded to other Middle Eastern countries, Africa and Asia. The VivoCity branch opened in 2023 and is its only outlet in Singapore.
While dipndip’s menu used to consist mainly of sweet treats, its menu has expanded to offer savoury food as well. Their Waffle Quesadilla (S$16.80++) comes in 2 variations: chicken and beef. If you want the best of both worlds, you can also order half chicken, half beef!
Best for: Dessert breaks or sweet treats

7. Hokkaido-Ya (#02-153)

You can tell from Hokkaido-Ya’s name that it’s the place to get authentic Hokkaido fare. Helmed by the folks behind Sushi Tei, this casual eatery specialises in a wide range of affordable Japanese classics and desserts.

Some Hokkaido delights you can indulge in include a variety of White Curry and various types of Ramen and Udon. Their signature Pork Katsu Hokkaido White Curry Rice (S$15.10++) – a hefty deep-fried pork cutlet served with creamy white gravy, is not to be missed. If you’re more of a noodle person, perhaps you can go for their Hokkaido Butter Corn Hotate Ramen (S$14++).

Hokkaido-Ya went through a menu revamp, launching a series of tantalising rice bowls. Their range of Bara Chirashi Don is particularly attractive, including an Ebi Fry Aburi Mentai Bara Chirashi Don (S$16.20++) that’s sure to be any mentaiko lover’s weakness. Here, a layer of smoky mentaiko sauce blankets the rice and some melt-in-your-mouth seafood. It’s then topped with a glorious golden brown ebi tempura.

8. Rollney (#02-133)

With Rollney in VivoCity, you don’t have to travel to Europe for a chimney cake. This popular dessert kiosk from Malaysia prides itself on its chimney cakes, which it calls Kurtos Rolls. If you’ve never sunk your teeth into one, it’s crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Oh, they’re handmade and baked fresh daily!

The Kurtos (S$3.50) at Rollney comes in 3 flavours: Original, Cinnamon and Chocolate. You can enjoy it on its own or with a sauce topping for S$3.90.
Alternatively, you can have the Kurtos Ice Cream (S$6.50 with 1 topping, S$7 with 2 toppings), which comes with either low-fat Hokkaido milk or Royal Chocolate soft serve.
Rollney also offers Savoury Rolls in flavours like Tuna (S$5.50), 3 Cheese Pizza (S$5) and Chicken Pepperoni (S$5.90).

9. Crystal Jade Pavilion (#01-112)

Ask any Chinese family, and they’ll agree that Crystal Jade restaurants are the place to be for reunion dinners, celebrations and such.
Enter Crystal Jade Pavilion, the Michelin-recognised brand’s third fine-dining concept that allows you to enjoy refined Chinese fare against a scenic backdrop of Sentosa and the waterway. The roomy restaurant houses large tables and several private dining rooms perfect for family gatherings.

Crystal Jade Pavilion’s menu is composed of Chinese classics and dishes that aim to deliver on both flavour and aesthetic.
Some dishes I’d personally head straight for include the Pan-fried Spanish Iberico Pork Chop with Teriyaki Sauce (S$18.80++ per person) and the Steamed Cod Fish with Porcini Mushroom (S$28.80++ per person), among many premium roasted meat and fresh seafood items.
Albeit on the pricier end of restaurants within VivoCity, you can count on Crystal Jade Pavilion for some quiet respite from the bustling outside.

10. Alijiang (#03-11)

Its camel logo may be the giveaway, but Alijiang is inspired by the journeys on the Silk Road that countless unnamed tradesmen plied for centuries. The unique fare here takes the best of the culinary traditions of the vast path and presents it in a sophisticated restaurant.

Grab some appetisers like the unique Alijiang Grilled Lamb in Cage (S$48++ per portion) or a good ol’ plate of Lamb Skewers (S$7.80++ for 2, min. 2 pieces). The nicely charred lamb is said to be well-seasoned and rid of any unpleasant gaminess.
If you don’t know what else to get, our recommendations are the Stir-fried Beef with Chilli in Xinjiang (from S$16.80++) and Cold beef with Parmesan cheese (S$29.80++).
It’s easy to overspend at Alijiang, but you’re in luck if you’re visiting for weekday lunch, as the restaurant offers Lunch Value Set Menus. The 2-Pax Value Set (S$48.80++, U.P. S$72.80++) consists of a Vegetable Salad in Sauce, Alijiang Dapanji, 2 skewers of your choice (lamb or chicken), Sauteed Cabbage with Crispy Pancake, Rice and Yoghurt. There are Lunch Value Sets catering to groups of 4 and 8, too.
