From the countless Korean foods in Singapore brought over from across the sea, Korean fried chicken has to be my favourite. It suits every occasion, from a light snack on the go to a full meal at the right price. Call it a coincidence, but I also feel like the Korean fried chicken’s recipe inherently suits our Asian taste buds. By double-frying the meat without much oil, you get its famous crunchy skin without the usual greasiness.
Of course, there are so many Korean fried chicken places in Singapore that it’s tough to decide where to go. Luckily, I’ve compiled a list of the 11 best Korean fried chicken places in Singapore compared by style and price

1. ICG Chicken & Burger

First on our list is our best-rated Korean fried chicken in Singapore, ICG Chicken & Burger in Northpoint Bizhub. They are a Korean bistro focused on serving up not only the best Korean dishes but also other meals like pasta and healthy soups. They used to be a chain, but their Toa Payoh outlet closed some time ago, leaving this Yishun outlet as their only one.
Just take a single glance at their ratings. 4.9/5 stars out of 881 reviews is nothing to scoff at!

From their various flavours of Korean fried chicken, I enjoyed their Garlic Soy Fried Chicken (S$8.90 for Small, S$13.90 for Medium, S$20.90 for Large) the most. They serve exclusively boneless pieces of chicken, which really helps you sink your teeth into thick and sweet soy sauce that glistens under the intense morning sunlight. I truly adore how crispy the skin was, even after the plate sat there for quite a while.

2. Oven & Fried Chicken

Oven & Fried Chicken has several outlets all across Singapore, serving their special renditions of Korean fried chicken. What are they? Well, it’s in the name! Their Okkudak is prepared through baking the chicken instead of drowning it in oil, giving each piece a cleaner flavour. Meanwhile, their Ssaldak has the chicken doused in a thick rice flour coating to give it a unique texture.

Keep in mind that their Crunch Original Chicken may take up to 30 minutes to arrive because of the unique cooking method. You can get it in 3 cuts — Wings (S$21 for Half, S$39 for Whole), Boneless (S$24 for Half, S$45 for Whole), and Mixed (S$20 for Half, S$37 for Whole).
The meat is juicy, tender, and definitely not oily. With a peppery finish, this plate of Korean fried chicken is simple yet satisfying.

3. BHC Chicken

Introducing BHC Chicken, South Korea’s top Korean fried chicken chain with 3 outlets across Singapore. They are relatively new in terms of Korean fried chicken places, unlike other entries on this list. But being wet behind the ears doesn’t mean that they don’t serve good food!

Check out their Macho King (S$29.90 for 600g Boneless, S$28.90 for 14pc Wings, S$31.90 for 14pcs Whole), fried chicken slathered with rich dark soy sauce and honey. While it’s a little on the pricier side, I guarantee it’s worth every dollar. Besides, you’re not eating it alone, right?

4. Kko Kko Na Ra 코코 나 라

I know, Kko Kko Na Ra is quite a cute name. Honestly, it reminds me of the kookaburra bird, but that’s totally unrelated to the restaurant. The restaurant is located along Tras Street and claims to be the originator of the Korean fried chicken trend in Singapore, as well as introducing the Chimaek culture of pairing Korean fried chicken with beer. Most dishes originate from the cookbook of the owner’s South Korean mother.

Their Original Chicken (S$25 for Half, S$45 for Whole) has deep-fried, perfect golden-brown skin that is simply awesome; you don’t feel greasy or feel like throwing up even after the 10th piece. You should also try their Combo Set (S$35 for Small, S$50 for Large) to try a few variations like the yangneom and garlic flavours as well.

5. 88 Chicken

88 Chicken in The Venue Shoppes is an authentic Korean restaurant opened by a South Korean chef and his wife. It’s a short 5-minute walk from Potong Pasir MRT. If you’re looking for the classic small-sized Korean restaurant with brick wallpaper, swivelling fans, and slightly uncomfortable metal chairs — 88 Chicken is the right place for you.

You can grab a plate of their Original Boneless Thighs (S$25 for 8pcs, S$46 for 16pcs) or Yangnyeom Boneless Thighs (S$27 for 8pcs, S$50 for 16pcs). 88 Chicken sets itself apart with a lighter and thinner skin with an audible crisp, while the Yangnyeom chicken has subtle sweet hints. It’s savoury and messy all in the right places.

6. 4Fingers

I’m sure 4Fingers needs zero introduction. One of the earliest appearances of Korean Fried Chicken in Singapore, it’s not uncommon to find snaking queues and endless batches of food delivery drivers outside their outlets. Honestly, you can’t turn a corner without spotting at least one 4Fingers outlet, which is an impressive feat. In fact, I counted 22 on their website.

The quintessential order from 4Fingers is their 6pc Wingettes & Drumettes Combo (S$19.20) that comes with a side of fries and a drink. Personally, I prefer their Soy flavour over their Hot flavour, as the deep soy taste is incredibly rich. Alternatively, get a box of 6pc Chicken Tenders at S$19 a la carte, with options of Nacho Cheese or Hot Mayo as dipping sauces.

7. Salt.

Salt. is located within Old Airport Road Food Centre and helmed by a pair of siblings named Naomi and Kenny. They don’t just serve Korean fried chicken, but a variety of other Western and Asian dishes as well. You can also find an outlet all the way in Singapore’s Central Business District (CBD) in CIMB Plaza.

You can find Salt.’s Korean Fried Chicken (S$7.80) in 4 flavours — Soy Garlic, Korean Hot, Salt & Pepper, and Thai Chilli Lime. Each plate has 3 wings and 3 drumlets. This stall might just offer the most value per dollar of Korean fried chicken on this list. The Soy Garlic flavour has the perfect garlicky aroma, while the Thai Chilli Lime strikes the right balance of sweetness, spiciness, and sourness.

8. Jade’s Chicken
Hidden within Johnson Eatery along Toa Payoh Central is Jade’s Chicken, a Korean-owned stall that was previously a Waker Chicken franchise. This place is a definite hidden gem, or hidden jade if you’re feeling funny.

There are 4 kinds of fried chicken flavours offered here, just like when they were a franchise. Original Crispy, Sweet & Spicy, Soy Sauce, and Honey Butter. You can get any of these at S$15 for 7pcs and S$29 for 14pcs. It tastes a bit like Waker Chicken’s fried chicken, but a little more aromatic and tender. Don’t be afraid to head down if you’re in the Toa Payoh area!

9. Daily Beer

If we discuss Chimaek culture, Daily Beer is almost unbeatable. Founded in 2014, they have over 370 outlets worldwide, with two located right here in Telok Ayer and CHIJMES. It’s extremely popular with the hip and cool youth, garnering celebrity attention from the cast of South Korea’s Running Man.

Get this, Korean fried chicken here in Daily Beer is named Angry Bird. While it’s definitely not a reference to the mobile game, it’s still very amusing. You have the classic original flavour Angry Bird (S$29 for 600g Boneless, S$28 for 600g Wings, S$32 for 8pcs Whole), the supremely crunchy Angry Bird Crunch (S$31 for 600g Boneless, S$30 for 600g Wings, S$34 for 8pcs Whole), and the aggressively spicy Angry Bird Red (S$31 for 600g Boneless, S$30 for 600g Wings, S$34 for 8pcs Whole).
Wash it all down with a fizzy glass of bubbly Telok Pale Ale (S$14) or Telok Lazy IPA (S$14). As their catchphrase goes, No beer, no work!

10. Doran Chicken

Doran Chicken in Orchard Gateway has really established itself as a Korean fried chicken contender in Singapore. Their chicken is prepared in the ‘Daegu-style’, where whole chickens are aged with herbs for a week inside Korean Onggi pots to give them a deep and rich flavour.

You have 3 options of Daegu-style Korean fried chicken — Bone-in Half Chicken (S$26.80 for 4pcs), Doran Wings & Drumlettes (S$27.80 for 10pcs), and Boneless Whole Chicken (S$37.80 for 600g). They come doused in 1 of 4 sauces of your choice: Original Fried, 1978 Soy Sauce, Dalcom Spicy and Sweet Volcano.
11. OPPA! Fried Chicken

OPPA! Fried Chicken in Timbre+ One North is a restaurant that opened in 2022, founded by Alan Ding. The stall’s food truck design is simple yet charming; it almost feels like you’re ordering food at a food festival!

Their Honey Butter Fried Chicken (S$16.90 for 8pcs, S$31.90 for 16pcs) is a definite crowd favourite. Think about the thick sweetness of the butter clashing with the savoury bite of the batter: I’m drooling already. Of course, don’t skip out on their Crispy Original Fried Chicken (S$14.90 for 8pcs, S$27.90 for 16pcs)!

How to choose the right Korean fried chicken in Singapore
Choosing Korean fried chicken in Singapore often depends on what you’re craving and who you’re eating with. For consistently crisp, boneless chicken coated in bold sauces, places like ICG Chicken & Burger and 88 Chicken work well for easy sharing since it is already portioned. If you prefer lighter, less oily styles, Oven & Fried Chicken and Doran Chicken focus on cleaner textures and aged or baked methods. For classic chimaek nights with beer, Kko Kko Na Ra and Daily Beer suit longer sit-down meals with their inviting ambience, while options like 4Fingers or Salt. are better for quick, fuss-free fried chicken fixes with their accessible locations around Singapore.
