With so many closures happening, many of us are frightened that our favourite place is next. For some folks, Coexist Coffee would break their hearts, as they have closed their Hillview outlet on 2 Apr 2023.

Coexist Coffee started as a dream between a trio of friends, with each taking over a key element of the business. Hao Xiang takes care of Coexist Coffee’s front of house while Yi Jie works on their business development, and Nicholas works in the kitchen. Quite a team, if I do say myself.

The reasoning given for the closure of their Hillview outlet is currently unknown. Many comments mentioned how greatly saddened they were by this news, with one netizen even saying that “there’s no cafes in the west except you”. Clearly, Westies have lost a precious gem.

Previously, our team had gone to their Keong Saik outlet, which has now closed permanently. Although the menus are substantially different, we do agree that Coexist Coffee has a great brunch menu that would be most suitable for the cafe hoppers to enjoy.

The interior decor was definitely the crowd pleaser— look at the split colours! Even through a photo, my eyes feel relaxed at the aesthetic sight. Coexist Coffee clearly understands the cafe market.

Don’t fret, Coexist Coffee is not gone for good. Now that their Hillview outlet has closed, Coexist Coffee occupies a singular outlet at the Lifelong Learning Institute in Eunos. Some common menu items are the Coexist Breakfast (S$26) and the Shoestring Fries (S$10 for plain, S$14 for truffle or mentaiko).

As compared to their now closed outlet, Coexist Coffee in Eunos offers quite a few intriguing menu options like Laksa Fish N’ Chips (S$25) or Carrot Cake Fries (S$12). Not to mention, it also offers a wider variety of menu items which would make for a worthwhile visit. Even I am tempted to go and try!
