From a Mexican burrito bar to a British kitchen, diners familiar with the halal food scene in Singapore would have heard of The Black Hole Group—the brains behind popular restaurants such as Tipo and (working title) Burger Bar. Adding on to the group’s portfolio of cafes and restaurants is Éla, a chic minimalist cafe located in Bukit Batok serving up healthy plates of divine Greek cuisine suited for all you Gods and Goddesses.

Translating to ‘come’ or ‘come on’, Éla prides itself as The Black Hole’s ‘little lost Greek place’. Built on the concept of a family affair, the restaurant aims to make diners feel as if they are in the comforts of home throughout their dining experience with the restaurant’s warm ambience and friendly service.

At Éla, your taste of the Mediterranean begins with a traditional serving of Pita Bread (S$3.90), a beautifully toasted flatbread served with sea salt, oregano, and olive oil—the perfect appetiser to whet your appetite while you wait for your mains to arrive.

Holding true to the restaurant’s culinary philosophy and notion of providing diners with delectable yet healthy dishes are two hearty mains, the Herb Sirloin Skewers (S$20.90) and Swordfish (S$22.90)

Both dishes shine the limelight on the ingredients, focusing on their natural taste and flavours with simple cooking techniques and the use of minimal seasoning, showcasing the beauty and freshness of the produce itself.

Prefer a humongous platter of food to share the best Éla has to offer? Then opt for either the Farmhouse Platter (from S$54.90) or the Seabreeze Platter (from S$74.90)

Whilst the Farmhouse Platter features an array of meats such as Beef Meatballs, Chicken Sausage and Lamb Kebabs, the Seabreeze Platter will surely delight seafood lovers with selections such as the Whole Seabass, Calamari, and White Bait

Surf or turf, feel free to take your pick as you feast to your heart’s delight at Éla!
