Former MasterChef Indonesia judge, Chef Degan Septoadji has partnered up with Peppermint’s Chef de Cuisine Leon Yee and his kitchen brigade to launch the first-ever Wonderful Indonesia buffet, happening till 31 Mar 2025.

This collaboration is made feasible with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Singapore, with the hopes of strengthening ties between both countries. It’s also a celebration of Indonesia’s gastronomy, sharing its culinary culture.
What Indonesian delights await you at Peppermint? Let’s explore the menu!

Start your Indonesian feast with a bowl of comforting soup (1 type on daily rotation) with Sop Buntot (oxtail soup), Baby Lamb Ribs Tongseng (Indonesian Spicy Lamb Stew) or Soto Betawi (Jakarta-style Beef Soup).

Head over to the decorated push cart where you’ll find Indonesian salads such as Lawar Ayam (long bean salad with chicken and coconut), and Sambal Tongkol (tuna).

Get your hands dirty (figuratively, of course) and whip up your own Indonesian Gado Gado with quail eggs, tempeh, and kangkong — just don’t skimp on that glorious peanut sauce! Feeling adventurous? Throw in some sambal kicap and a fiery yet oh-so-shiok sambal for that extra oomph!

If you’re visiting Peppermint for dinner, head to the meat section where you’ll be greeted by the majestic Whole Kambing Guling (Whole Roasted Lamb).

Pile your plates with Ikan Acar Kuning (Indonesian fried fish with yellow pickles), Black Angus Beef Guling (available only on weekends), Sate Lilit (minced meat satay on lemongrass skewers) and Nasi Goreng Bali.

Seafood lovers can try the Cumi Asin Cabe Ijo, an appetising dish of stir-fried salted squid tossed in a tangy green chilli sambal. For dinner, there’s also 1 lobster dish served daily in rotation from the following:
- Lobster Saus Padang (Lobster in Padang sauce)
- Lobster Bakar Bumbu Jimbaran (Jimbaran-style grilled lobster)
- Sambal Goreng Lobster (Lobster in sambal sauce)

For a hearty bowl of noodles, swing by the Noodle station next to the Hainanese chicken rice counter. The menu serves 1 type on daily rotation: Mie Kocok (Indonesian beef noodle soup), Mie Bakso (Indonesian noodles with meatballs), and Mie Godong Jawa (Javanese-style Noodles).

And for dessert, go for the Kolak Pisang or the Pisang Goreng with Nutella. Don’t worry, the usual spread of seafood, Japanese delights, Indian dishes, and Western favourites will still be available.

If you’re heading for dinner on the following dates (28 Feb, 1 Mar, 7 Mar, and 8 Mar 2025), enjoy captivating live performances by traditional Indonesian dancers.
