jem food guide - kenny rogers roasters

Kenny Rogers Roasters is a Western restaurant co-founded by American singer Kenny Rogers. Their dishes are primarily chicken-based, and this restaurant in Jem is even halal-certified for Muslim diners to enjoy.

Dig into their famous roasted chicken, which is served in dishes like Kenny’s Quarter Meal (S$14.90), Kenny’s Half Meal (S$20.90) and Kenny’s Chicken & Pasta Meal (S$16.90).

Pasta fans can opt for the Spaghetti Bolognese Pasta (S$10.90), Chicken Aglio Olio (S$10.90) and Spicy Tomato Cream Pasta (S$12.90).

Kenny Rogers Roasters offers a healthier version of fried chicken with their OMG Chicken, which are crispy chicken pieces that are not fried. I got the OMG Chicken 2pc Meal (S$15.90), served with 2 pieces of OMG Chicken, 2 sides and a home-made muffin.

While the OMG Chicken skin was a bit too tough for my liking, the chicken meat was incredibly well-seasoned and marinated and burst with flavour. Side options include Coleslaw, Potato Salad, Fresh Fruit Salad, Macaroni & Cheese and French Fries.

On weekdays from 11am to 4.30pm, you can even enjoy a lunch special where you can top up S$1 to enjoy a drink and Cream of Mushroom soup with the order of selected mains.

It’s time for dessert, and what better way to satisfy that sweet tooth than with some pie? In my opinion, Windowsill Pies has some of the best pies in Singapore, and I’m always impressed by their buttery crusts and thick, rich fillings.

My personal favourite is the S’mores Pie (S$7.80 for a slice, S$67 for whole), which comes with chocolate filling, graham crackers and marshmallows. The Strawberry Lemon Meringue Pie (S$7.30 for a slice, S$65 for whole) is another great flavour as it is refreshing and tangy.

Try the alcoholic flavours, like the Apple Frangipane Rum Pie (S$7.30 for a slice, S$65 for whole) or Banana Almond Brittle (S$7 for a slice, S$63 for whole) if you’re looking for a more adult option.
