If you’ve grown weary of making the same mall rounds across Klang Valley — no matter how conveniently close they are to public transport — the newly opened KLGCC Mall might just be your next little weekend escape.

KLGCC Mall - Overview

If you call this area home, KLGCC Mall might feel like a regular hangout spot. But for others — the mid-range crowd with champagne taste on a teh tarik budget — this is your go-to for a slightly more special day out. It’s easily accessible too: hop on the MRT to Semantan station, then take the shuttle van that drops you off directly at the mall for just RM2. (You can check the schedule and book via the Kummute app before your trip.)

KLGCC Mall - Golf course

Nestled within the prestigious Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club Resort, this latest addition to the city’s retail landscape sits gracefully beside the Sime Darby Convention Centre, with a sweeping view of the award-winning golf course that gives it an unmistakably refined air. The mall is also flanked by Senada Residences and Menara KLGCC, creating a pocket of sophistication in an already ‘atas’ neighbourhood.

So, if you’re wondering what’s worth trying at KLGCC Mall, here’s a little guide to help you plan your next visit.

The Grounds of Serai

KLGCC Mall - The grounds of Serai

Let’s head straight to the top of KLGCC Mall — The Grounds of Serai. A quick ride up to Level 4 takes you away from the cool indoors and into a charming open-air space that feels like a breath of fresh air. This entire floor is dedicated to the Serai Group’s family of eateries, creating a little culinary enclave with a distinctly refined touch.

KLGCC Mall - 4th floor

It’s also one of the mall’s most picturesque corners, perfect for leisurely photos or a laid-back hangout. Think gentle breezes, a humble yet elegant fountain, and an urban farm adding a touch of greenery amid the polished concrete. The pebbled pavement gives it a natural charm, with flat stone paths carefully laid out so you can stroll safely in your weekend best.

1. Super Blonde (4F-03)

Super Blonde - Storefront

Say hello to Super Blonde — the latest brainchild of the Serai Group and the first of its kind, making its debut right here at KLGCC Mall. It’s the kind of place that easily tempts you to linger, serving hearty Western and Italian-inspired plates from breakfast till late afternoon, alongside rich coffee and indulgent desserts that practically demand a second visit.

Super Blonde - Pizza

Their pizzas are a standout. Each slice hits that perfect balance — the dough soft and airy with just the right crisp at the edges, never too dense nor chewy. We tried the 3 Cheeses Pizza (RM35), topped with whipped ricotta, mozzarella, parmesan, roasted pumpkin, garlic, and a drizzle of hot honey — a sweet, savoury, and creamy combination that melts beautifully together.

Super Blonde - Pasta

But the real star of the meal was their pasta. The Squid Ink Aglio Olio (RM38) deserves a spotlight — studded with blue swimmer crab meat, squid, crispy anchovies, and chilli oil that adds a subtle kick. It’s bold, briny, and full of umami — a must-try for spice lovers.

Pair it all with their Cafe Latte (RM12), which genuinely surprised us. Smooth, lightly creamy, and robust without being bitter, it’s the kind of coffee that wakes you up just right.

2. Brotani Juice Bar (4K-01)

Brotani - Storefront

Step right out of Super Blonde and you’ll be greeted by Brotani Juice Bar, easily recognisable by its charming pink facade. It’s a cheerful little spot that takes your usual protein shakes and turns them into something far more exciting.

Brotani - Smoothies

If you’re in the mood for something refreshing yet nourishing, try the Sober Pina Colada (RM22) — a tropical blend of pineapple, banana, lime, blue spirulina powder, and coconut cream. It’s bright, creamy, and feels like a vacation in a cup.

Another standout is the Fountain of Youth (RM22), made with strawberries, avocado, banana, dates, almond milk, and their signature strawberry glaze — a velvety mix that’s as satisfying as dessert, minus the guilt.

Taffy Gelato - Storefront

Just next to Super Blonde sits Taffy Gelato, the perfect spot to end your meal — or start it, if you’re that kind of person. This charming gelato nook serves creamy, handcrafted scoops that strike just the right balance between indulgent and refreshing.

Taffy Gelato - Hazelnut rocher

Prices start at RM10 for a single scoop and RM18 for a double, with Premium flavours adding RM2 and Super Premium at RM3 extra — still reasonable for the quality you’re getting. You can have your gelato served in a cup, cone, waffle cone, croissant, brioche bun, or even their signature Taffy waffle, depending on how fancy (or hungry) you feel.

Flavours range from fruity to creamy — Strawberry Yogurt, Hazelnut Rocher, and Belgian Chocolate, among others.

And of course, no visit to The Grounds would be complete without a stop at Serai Restaurant — the beloved flagship that started it all. The KLGCC Mall outlet is one of their most impressive yet, offering a spacious, elegantly designed setting that’s ideal for family lunches, friendly catch-ups, or a classy weekend meal.

If you’re dining with a group, the Serai Platter (RM37) is a crowd-pleaser. It comes with fragrant serai rice, oxtail asam pedas, honey squid, ayam goreng berempah, and a side of fresh acar. For something more personal, the Nasi Campur Serai (RM29) is a satisfying solo option, featuring Jasmine rice with rendang tok tenderloin, salted egg, Thai-style fried fish, and sambal terung.

If you prefer something simpler, their goreng-goreng range is always a safe bet. The Sang Har Yin Yong (RM45), Seafood Char Kuey Teow (RM23), and Kampung Fried Rice (RM25) are all solid choices — generous portions, rich flavours, and just the right amount of wok hei
