As a frequent commuter, I know the struggle of finding great food spots without adding extra transportation costs — especially with Grab cars. Having travelled nearly every MRT and LRT line in Klang Valley, I can confidently say that walkable foodie gems do exist, but sometimes you’ve got to put in the legwork to find them.
But hey, if you’re not up for the hunt, no worries — that’s where I come in! My mission is to make your life easier by introducing you to these spots. So, without further ado, here’s my guide to the 11 best makan places along the MRT Kajang Line, all easily accessible by foot!
1. Pizza Mansion @ The Five
Tucked away at The Five, an office complex just a minute’s walk from Semantan MRT Station, Pizza Mansion is a pizzeria that stands out from the crowd. With its cosy, dimly lit ambiance, it’s the perfect spot for a laid-back pizza-and-beer night — daytime included, thanks to its moody lighting.
The menu here is packed with mouth-watering options, from pizzas and pastas to a selection of wines and beers to complete your meal. Whether you’re out with friends or just craving a solo feast, you’ll want to dive into their crowd favourites. The Hey Margherita (RM34) is a classic combo of tangy passata, creamy buffalo stracciatella, fresh basil, and a drizzle of olive oil.
For shroomheads, the Magic Mushroom (RM34) brings together porcini, truffle cream, button mushrooms, fior di latte, thyme, parmigiano, and a splash of truffle oil. And if you’re craving bold flavours, Silence Of The Lambs (RM36) delivers Mediterranean flair with Moroccan lamb meatballs, green chillies, and garlic yoghurt on a spicy tomato base.
Check out their drinks menu, which offers everything from refreshing kombuchas to house wines. If you’re in the mood for something light and gut-friendly, try their Lemon and Bentong Ginger Kombucha (RM18). Or, if wine is more your style, sip on a House Pour Red Glass (RM23) — the choice is yours!
One thing to keep in mind: the dim ambiance, combined with the music pumping from the club next door, might feel a bit intense for some. So, if you’re looking for a chill lepak spot, be sure to consider the vibe before heading over!

Starting from RM12, you can enjoy a generous portion of white rice topped with your choice of ayam kunyit, sotong kunyit, or daging kunyit, paired with fried veggies and a side of their irresistible sambal belacan. Want a heartier meal? You can mix and match proteins to your liking!
Just a heads up — the food court can get a bit stuffy, so dress light, and be ready for the aroma of food to cling to your clothes when you leave.
