Oktoberfest 2016: 17 Places For Bratwurst & Booze All Month Long In Singapore This Beer Festival

It’s that time of the year again where my body braces for the overload of beer drinking, Oompah band dancing, and bratwurst eating — otherwise known as Oktoberfest! (Time to party!)

This annual German festival may be traditionally celebrated in Munich but we are in no way short of alternatives on our little island too.

17. Erich’s Wuerstelstand and Backstube

Wuerstelstand spread

Chinatown is probably the last place you would expect to find German cuisine, and yet it’s home to a humble Wuerstelstand and Backstube (Sausage stand and Bakery) opened by Austrian Erich Pollski.

Here, it’s Oktoberfest all year long so there’s no better time than the present to make the trip down. Get the famous currywurst ($3.50) which is literally a bratwurst dressed in curry sauce. My German friends say it makes for great hangover food.

You’ll probably need this after all the beer you’re planning on consuming. Check out our full feature for more details.

How much? $7 – $15 per pax
