Calling all ramen lovers! There’s a new roadside stall located in Pasar Seni that specialises in authentic bowls of Japanese noodles. Two Old Man Ramen is run by a Japanese chef of over 40 years and his older brother, both sharing their love for Japanese cuisine.

Nestled at Kasturi Walk, Central Market, this cosy food stall, reminiscent of the yatai stalls in Japan, offers a limited seating arrangement, accommodating just 3 to 5 patrons at a time.

Don’t miss the opportunity to savour their handcrafted signature dish, the Miso Ramen (RM15.80), prepared right before your eyes.

Renowned for its comforting and robust taste, miso ramen features a rich broth created from a blend of chicken broth and miso paste. This savoury base complements delicate wheat noodles and is garnished with chicken teriyaki, seaweed, kamaboko, and ajitama egg. For those seeking a spicier option, consider indulging in the Spicy Miso Ramen (RM15.80).

For those who appreciate the traditional flavours, don’t miss the opportunity to savour their Shoyu Ramen (RM15.80). Revered for its simplicity and comforting taste, shoyu ramen features a delightful combination of chicken broth and soy sauce, lending it a unique and memorable flavour. With toppings akin to those of the miso ramen, this dish is guaranteed to fulfil your ramen desires.

Still have room for more? At Two Old Man Ramen, you’ll discover a selection of classic Japanese side dishes to complement your meal. Consider indulging in Ebi Tempura, or as it’s commonly referred to in English, prawn tempura. These plump prawns are expertly deep-fried in a light and airy batter, resulting in a delicate, satisfying crispness with each bite.

For those inclined towards vegetables, there’s the Kakiage Tempura. This delightful medley of mixed vegetables, including carrots, sweet potatoes, and scallions, offers a pleasing contrast between the airy, crispy exterior and the tender, cooked interior.

Don’t miss out on other side dishes, such as Beef Skewers, Salmon Belly Skewers, Fried Wonton, and Yakitori.

Do note that Two Old Man Ramen sells their ramen from 5pm – 10pm from Monday to Thursday and from 4pm – 10pm from Friday to Sunday.
