The whole “old building turned cool hangout spot” trend in Malaysia is still going strong and honestly, we’re here for it. Freshly opened at the end of February 2026, The Goodday Milk Factory in Petaling Jaya is the latest industrial-to-lifestyle glow-up.

Set on a sprawling 5-acre former factory site, the space has been repurposed into a community hub that blends food, fitness, and lepak culture — all while keeping its identity front and centre (yes, the cow-print murals make sure you don’t forget where you are).
With Visit Malaysia 2026 and Visit Selangor 2026 ramping up, this might just be what the area needs to encourage more visitors. Here’s what to check out at The Goodday Milk Factory!
1. Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu Food Hall

Right after stepping past the entrance gate of The Goodday Milk Factory, you’ll immediately be met with a spacious covered food court anchored by Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu. It’s a name most Malaysians are already familiar with.

Here, the usual crowd-pleasers start from RM9.40, including Nasi Lemak Basmathi Ayam Berempah and Nasi Lemak Basmathi Sambal Udang Petai, alongside other classic nasi lemak combinations done the brand’s signature way.

Sharing the same food hall is Lotus, where you’ll find a wider variety of carbs.

Options include Roti Sarang Burung, Murtabak and Kothu Paratha, Tandoori and Kebab selections, fluffy Naan, and an assortment of fried rice dishes.

Drinks are sorted too, with Etika beverages available such as Goodday Milk, Pepsi, and Wonda. More F&B brands are set to join the food hall soon, so expect the lineup to grow over time.
2. Sly Bear Cafe

If you venture deeper into the recently-opened The Goodday Milk Factory grounds, you’ll come across Sly Bear Cafe, offering a more relaxed setting.

The menu includes dishes like Miso Caramelised Onion Pasta (RM25), Double Gyu-duck Cheeseburger (RM34) featuring a beef patty infused with smoked duck, Crispy Chicken Zinger Burger (RM29), Aburi Gyudon with Mayak Egg (RM30), and Lava-rock Grilled Angus Hamburg (RM34).
For drinks, there are coffees from RM11, fresh juices from RM10, and a selection of smoothies. If you’re coming straight from a workout — or planning one after — there are protein shakes such as Chocolate Boost, Peanut Butter, and Tropical Blast, priced at RM20 each.
3. The Backyard Training

Close by, The Backyard Training caters to those looking to get a proper sweat session in. Affiliated with HYROX, the studio provides space for various training needs, whether you’re going solo or joining a structured class.
This includes open gym access from RM50, HYROX Speed sessions focused on agility drills and power-based circuits, as well as HYROX Foundation classes designed for beginners who want to learn proper techniques and build functional strength.
Training packages start from RM80 and go up to RM2,500 for shareable class credits.
