Skewers make, for perhaps, the most perfect sharing food. Now that Phase 3 is here kick off the new year right at The Lok Lok Bar by bonding over food and drinks with your loved ones. If it’s not obvious enough from the name, this new eatery along Beach Road offers the Malaysian favourite—lok lok.

For the uninitiated, ‘lok lok’ is a street food consisting of skewered meats and vegetables, dipped into boiling steamboat broth. The bright neon lights inject energy into The Lok Lok Bar’s atmosphere, where having fun and eating well both sit first on the agenda.

Open daily from 11 am – 11 pm, diners are welcome to indulge in some late-night drinks and skewers, making it a perfect spot to chill, mingle, and most important of all, pig out on a variety of food.

So what’s on the menu? Perhaps the better question is what isn’t. Here at The Lok Lok Bar, one can expect an astounding assortment of skewered meats and veggies, so there’s bound to be something for everyone. Choose from various fishcakes, tofu, hotdogs, seaweed chicken, and even sticks of roast pork belly.

Another highlight menu item is their Signature Pao Fan. It’s a dish that has been garnering an increasing amount of attention recently, with several new pao fan stalls popping up all over town. Perfect for the cold weather we can expect in January, indulge in The Lok Lok Bar’s rendition of a hearty seafood broth chock full of prawns, broccoli, and fried egg floss. Order a bowl for sharing, or finish one yourself — no judgement here.

As for their drinks selection, rest assured for all the booze aficionados out there, because diners will be pampered with a selection of beer towers, whisky, and soju to pair with their sticks.
