The only thing better than cheese-stuffed obanyaki is matcha-flavoured cheese-stuffed obanyaki of course. In addition to their ever-growing list of matcha-centric sweets and desserts, 108 Matcha Saro launches the Cheese Trio Obanyaki, which is a fluffy obanyaki featuring a delightful three-cheese medley made of cheddar mozzarella, french cream cheese, and 108 Matcha Saro Premium Cheese Mix.

A top down shot of obanyaki

Cheese pull hopefuls can get their pinching pleasure here with the all-new obanyaki, with its three-cheese combination encased in a warm obanyaki outer, which come together for a perfect sweet-earthy blend. A first-of-its-kind creation for 108 Matcha Saro, the snack makes for a perfect treat regardless of the time of day. Fancy one for breakfast? Go ahead. Post-dinner dessert instead? Here, have two.

Tearing shot into matcha obanyaki

The obanyaki is available in two dough types: original and matcha. But of course, we’d recommend opting for the matcha joint’s speciality flavour for maximum indulgence.

And good news for savoury food lovers like me; there finally exists a dessert that doesn’t cross the line of being too one-note or sweet, yet equal parts delectable and satisfying. Every bite is similar to the delightful pairing of a McGriddles—-its maple-drenched pancake buns with a toothsome sausage patty wedged in between.

Priced at S$3.50 each, 108 Matcha Saro’s Cheese Trio Obanyaki is available exclusively at 108 Matcha Saro’s Ion Orchard and Suntec City outlets only.

If you’d like to have it to-go, 108 Matcha Saro is also available on various delivery partners Deliveroo, Grab Food, and Foodpanda. So go ahead, make a night out of it, kick back, turn on some Disney+, and much away.
