If you’re tired of having your lunch in the office or bored of heading down to the same old food spots around you during lunchtime, why not head over to Esplanade Mall to get the most out of your lunch break? From a picturesque view to eye-opening visual arts, chamber music concerts and guided tours, to local speciality stores and a spectacularly diverse gastronomy scene— they have it all!
Head on down to Harry’s for their 1-for-1 Lunch Special (available on Thursdays and Fridays, till 3pm). Be spoiled for choice with delectable dishes off not one, but three menu highlights: Selected Asian Palate, Mains, and Pasta. Personally, I’d recommend the Meatball Bolognese or the classic Beer Battered Fish & Chips!
Fancy a team lunch, instead? Alter Ego’s All-You-Can-Eat Buffet (S$39) is just what you need. The buffet menu consists of a slew of sumptuous starters, mains, pastas, pizzas, poke bowls, and salads. Boy, I’d surely be stuffed from all these options!
Out to celebrate a seafood lovin’ co-worker’s birthday? Why not make your way down to The Boiler Seafood Bar & Beer for a free lobster (usual price S$75) with a purchase of the Boiler’s Bombdiggity Bag (S$179 for four pax). The Boiler’s Bombdiggity Bag comes loaded with a seasonal crab (900gm – 950gm), prawns, mussels, clams, smoked sausages, sweet pearl corns, and buns, along with your choice of sauce. I’m not lying when I say it sounds like a pretty sweet deal.
If you love a café with a view, you can make your way down to the newly-opened Gloria Jean’s Coffees for their Lunch Specials (from Monday to Friday, 11am – 2pm). For S$9.90, choose to pair your choice of wrap, pie or savoury puff with a small beverage: classic coffee, cold brew, iced coffee, Italian soda, hot or iced tea.
Nourish your soul with sumptuous music from the Munch! Lunchtime Concert Series in the Esplanade Concert Hall (S$10 for Esplanade&Me Members, S$12 for Non-members) and receive a S$10 Esplanade Mall Voucher with every purchase, that can be used for lunch!
If classical music isn’t your thing, opt for an Esplanade Tour (S$15 for Esplanade&Me Members, S$20 for Non-members). From Sunday to Friday (excluding PH), you can experience the sublime acoustics of the Esplanade Concert Hall and take a seat in the majestic Esplanade Theatre, learn more about the Esplanade’s architecture, and pick up fun historical facts!
