Just over two months after announcing its departure from Katong Square, Goldleaf Restaurant has officially re-opened at 83/85 Geylang Road on 25 Nov 2022. Having spent the last 6 years at Katong Square, they couldn’t reach an agreement on the terms of the new lease with the landlord, which was why they had to move out.

Goldleaf Restaurant is one of the oldest Taiwanese restaurants in Singapore and has been in service since 1971, with its first restaurant located at Orchard Road. They specialise in old-school family-style Chinese cuisine and are known for their free-flow Taiwanese porridge. They will be celebrating their 52nd anniversary next year.

We recommend both the Goldleaf Prawn Rolls (S$13.90) and Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetables (S$25.90). The Goldleaf Prawn Rolls uses a recipe that has been around for over 70 years, whilst the Braised Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetables has been on the menu since it first opened in 1971.
