Ghibli fans, you might want to take a seat because we have huge news. The World of Studio Ghibli exhibition is making its way to town! Catch your favourite Ghibli characters from 4 Oct 2024 to 2 Feb 2025 at the ArtScience Museum.

The World of Studio Ghibli is a travelling exhibit that showcases the art, history, and magic of Studio Ghibli, the renowned Japanese animation studio. It features immersive displays and exhibits related to the studio’s beloved films, allowing visitors to explore and experience the worlds created by Ghibli filmmakers.
In 2013, the exhibition made its debut in its homeland, Japan before moving to other countries like South Korea, Hong Kong and even Thailand over the years. This exhibition marks the studio’s first showcase in Singapore.
It will likely be the best one yet, incorporating all the changes made to the exhibition during its tour over the years. You can also anticipate elements from Studio Ghibli’s newest film, The Boy and the Heron (2023).

Occupying 11 galleries in the museum and spanning 2,400 sqm., The World of Studio Ghibli will present 11 cherished films from the collection. Visitors can look forward to immersing themselves in 16 intricate large-scale sets which recreate iconic scenes from renowned Studio Ghibli films like My Neighbour Totoro (1988), Spirited Away (2001) and Howl’s Moving Castle (2004).
Take a seat on the train beside No-Face from Spirited Away. Brave the rain with Totoro and friends. Don’t miss this chance to explore the fictional worlds and characters that you hold dear!
Plus, get your hands on official Studio Ghibli merchandise and souvenirs at the retail shop at the end of the exhibition.
