Looking for new makan options at Bishan Junction 8? Then head up to the top floor where the all-new Food Junction welcomes you with 26 new stalls, including a Japanese street that is a vibe on its own.

My colleague, Rachel and I visited on its launch day and the first thing we took notice was its vintage 1940s-style American diner theme. Think shiny red and blue vinyl-ish chairs, posters of ABBA and Marilyn Monroe, and retro tiles.
Even the hawkers are decked out in cute retro outfits in pink, pastel green and red. My generation would refer it to a splitting image of the now-defunct Billy Bombers, while today’s Gen Zs will think of Joji’s Diner. Alright, enough ranting. Let me give you a sneak peek to the tantalising treats you can expect.
