Yet another win for the East siders, as BK Eating House has newly opened at Bedok.

This coffeeshop, having opened on 25 Mar, is about a 10-minute walk away from Bedok MRT station. Its new opening has attracted a large crowd within its first few days, making getting a seat difficult.
With a black ‘BK’ symbol that is lit up in the middle, it won’t be easy to miss this coffeeshop if you’re in the vicinity. If you’re coming within the first two weeks of its opening, it’ll be even easier to spot where it is then, for there will definitely be a crowd surrounding this area.

It seems to be serving all of the favourites, like Hainanese chicken rice, fish soup, fried rice and more.

One thing good about this place is that they won’t skimp on their portion size, or at least, that’s what we know from purchasing at their chicken rice stall.

With 10 outlets, Heng Long Teochew Porridge has also made its way down to Bedok, perfect for those hosting a large group of friends, or if you simply have a voracious appetite.
Though the East side has seen its fair share of new eateries and food complexes opening up, with Tampines as an example, being a new hot spot for foodies, BK Eating House may not initially strike people as unique, but with the steady rise in openings of coffeeshops, they continue to anchor daily life and provide accessible and affordable food to residents around the area.
Having offered an opening promotion for the first week that it was opened, BK Eating House is keeping the food scene alive.
Even without a standout concept, BK Eating House still contributes to the ever-changing food ecosystem. Its presence underscores our distinct national identity, which comprises having communal food centres where people from all walks of life can come and enjoy a meal together.
