New in town: Nani Bowl — Build your own poke bowl at Marina One

It’s about 3 weeks into 2023 and it has brought us more work, new stress and thankfully more food spots to try out. Nani Bowl, which recently opened on 12 Jan 2023 at Marina One serving poke bowls, is one of them.

Nani Bowl is a new brand under Suki Group, the same people who brought us Curry Boy, Chabuton and Gaku Sushi Bar. While most of us are familiar with the meaning of “nani” in Japanese (it means “what”), it also means “beauty” or “splendour” in Hawaiian. Because of that, every order is treated as a splendid meal.

The poke bowl focuses on Japanese cuisine with a touch of South-East Asian influences. Some of their poke bowls include the ever-popular Spicy Salmon Bowl (S$13.90), Teriyaki Chicken Bowl (S$10.90), Meltique Beef Bowl (S$14.90) and Healthy Rice Bowl (S$12.90). You can make your bowl a complete meal with an additional S$4 which includes a drink, mushroom soup and ice cream.

There are also Sando options like the Crab & Bread (S$7.90) and Classic Ham & Cheese (S$7.90). Each order comes with one Long Black or Flat White and is only available from 8am to 11am. Light eaters can opt for the soups available such as Nani Chicken Soup (S$5.90) and Mushroom Soup (S$5.90).

Daring eaters should go for the Build Your Own Bowl (S$10.90). First, you need to choose your base from options like Grain Rice, Pasta and Soba. Next is choosing your protein such as Teriyaki ChickenThai Spicy Shrimp with Glass Noodle (S$3) and Meltique Beef (S$4).

Following that, you get to pick 3 toppings such as Purple Cabbage, Onsen Egg (S$1.50) and Mixed Mushrooms. Lastly, your choice of dressing ranges from Caesar Dressing to Mentaiko (S$1).

Work lunches and after-work dinners won’t be boring anymore!
