If you find yourself in the Marina Square or Suntec City area and are seeking a cosy, secluded spot to enjoy a leisurely meal or a friendly get-together, why not explore Pacific Emporium nestled within Pan Pacific Singapore?

Previously known as Pacific Marketplace, it has been revamped into a brand-new makan and retail spot that pays homage to authentic local fare, artisanal goods and carefully selected gifts from homegrown brands and designers.

Pacific Emporium divides itself into 4 distinct areas:

1. The Kitchen

pacific emporium - appetisers

The Kitchen serves a mixture of local and Western delights for Breakfast from 8am – 10.30am daily.

We checked out the All Day Dining menu available from 11am – 10.30pm daily. For appetisers, the Crispy Duck Salad (S$20) was a refreshing medley of arugula, orange segments, crispy pine nuts, red onion slaw and mint dressing.

For something more close to home, the Rojak Salad (S$16) has shiok crispy youtiao, cucumber, pineapple, green mango, peanuts and rojak dressing.

pacific emporium - laksa

For something more rich and decadent, the Lobster Laksa (S$48) has a thick and coconutty gravy paired with a whole rock lobster and the usual suspects.

pacific emporium - burger

The Peranakan Wagyu Beef Burger (S$38) features a slice of fish otah and melted jack cheese atop a thiccc homemade Wagyu beef patty. While the combination was decent, it didn’t leave a lasting impression. In my opinion, incorporating a Nyonya-inspired sauce to enhance the patty’s flavour, rather than simply adding a piece of otah, would have elevated the experience.

The menu also has new items like Char Kway Teow (S$26), Peppery Bak Kut Teh (S$28) and Beef Rendang (S$28).

2. The Bar

Satisfy your thirst with a diverse assortment of beverages, ranging from unique local twists on original blends to freshly-pressed juices, each playfully named after colloquial ‘Singlish‘ slang.

The Die Die Must Try (S$14) was an interesting mix of fermented peach, pink peppercorn and basil while Catch No Ball (S$16) was an exotic blend of cherry, lime, black peppercorn, clove, cinnamon and rosemary. While both drinks were unique, I was slightly irked by the spices freely floating in the beverage.

Another menu standout is the Freshly-Pressed Sugarcane Juice (S$13), a delightful treat presented in a bubble tea-style format. Customise your drink with an array of toppings, including white pearls, grass jelly, aiyu jelly, fresh fruits, and more.

You’ll also find a range of cold brew coffee, tea, wine and beers.

3. The Deli

There are distinctive cheese selections available (perfect for your charcuterie board) such as Red Pesto Tomme du Berry (S$26), Manchego Por (S$30) and for the brave ones, the Gorgonzola DOP (S$26).

To end off your meal on a sweet note, you can also get your hands on their pretty lineup of cakes and desserts on display.

pacific emporium - desserts

The Sakura (S$12) was a delicious combination of black sesame sponge and sakura mousse layered with booze-infused cherries while the Verrine – Colours of Singapore (S$12) was a mish mash of watermelon jelly and banana almond gel topped with fresh berries.

pacific emporium - bread

For those in a hurry, Pacific Emporium offers on-the-go options like the Multigrain Panini, Mediterranean Vegetables (S$15) and the Sourdough, Pastrami Beef, Arugula, Provolone (S$16) sandwiches and salads.
