We don’t need a rehash of the pandemic’s unforgiving imposition onto our daily lives, which hit some more than others. Over a year in, we’re readjusting to the new normal, with a pivotal recourse from the government in the form of its many grants. The latest of the lot is a three per cent discount for all Community Health Assist Scheme (CHAS) Blue cardholders.

In line with NTUC Fairprice’s mission to do good for the community, it has been serving the varied needs and interests of people from all walks of life. The Fairprice Foundation launched in 2008, and its subsequent discount schemes such as the Pioneer Generation (PG), Merdeka Generation (MG), Seniors Discount Scheme as well as regular deals and promotions attest to this belief.

And FairPrice’s CHAS Blue Discount Scheme complements the existing ones, by serving a more focused group of lower-income families. Reducing their household expenses, this scheme can help them cushion the adverse impacts and uncertainties of COVID-19.

To enjoy the CHAS Blue Card Discount, available every Thursday, capped at S$200 per transaction a day, customers simply need to present their valid CHAS Blue card at cashier counters. It can be used at all FairPrice supermarkets, FairPrice Shop stores, FairPrice Finest outlets, FairPrice Xtra hypermarkets, FairPrice on Wheels truck and all Unity pharmacies. At self-checkout counters, simply select the CHAS Blue discount option.
