Jumbadog first opened its door at NEWest Mall in 2020. It’s known for serving custom-made footlong hot dogs, which can often result in almost comically long hot dog buns loaded with toppings. Here, diners can build their own hot dogs, which comprise a bun, hot dog, and three toppings of their choice.

Though Jumbadog offers classic choices like bratwurst sausages, ketchup sauces, and toppings such as raw onions and pickled jalapenos, what sets it apart from other similar footlong ventures are its other unique options.

Inventive hot dog options ranges from numbing Mala to Truffle-infused (+S$2). As for toppings, you can consider going for Asian-inspired flavours like Kimchi (+S$2.90)EdamameBonito Flakes and Tobiko (S$+2.90).

Fret not if you don’t feel like experimenting with flavours, as there are pre-set hot dog combinations.

The Tako Dog (S$13.90) pairs an Arabiki hot dog with toppings you would expect in a takoyaki, namely bonito flakes and takoyaki sauce. The same variation of ingredients can be found on fries as a side, aptly named Tako Fries (S$5.90).

There are menu items that combine both Asian and European flavours, such as the Fire Dog (S$13.90) which pairs a mala-flavoured hot dog with with sauerkraut.

Keeping in line with having unique flavours, new menu items such as the Trufflelicious Dog (S$15.90)Seattle Dog (S$13.90) and The Brat (S$13.90) are specially created for the Jewel outlet.

So, the next time you hear the phrase “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks”, be sure to keep Jumbadog in mind!
