For the rare few who haven’t tried it, dim sum is all about small plates of classic Cantonese snacks. There’s a wide spread of these bite-sized delights to choose from: some savoury and steamed, others sweet and fried — making it a true crowd-pleaser.
The only catch with dim sum lies in the portions. Each steamer basket usually holds three to four pieces, so if you’re dining in a group, you might only snag one of your favourites. A travesty, really, since I could personally polish off 15 liu sha baos in one sitting.
Thankfully, many restaurants have recognised this struggle and rolled up the ultimate solution: dim sum buffets. For big eaters, dim sum devotees and buffet-lovers, here’s our list of 17 best dim sum buffets in Singapore, because who doesn’t love a dumpling or two? … Or 50?
Note: prices listed here are for adults; it’s usually cheaper for kids.
