Ever had a last-minute craving for local Singaporean food right before you had to get on board a flight to somewhere? Well, you can now quash them thanks to Chatterbox Express. Located in Changi Airport Terminal 1, the move brings the essence of Singapore’s local cuisine to an international audience, letting travellers experience the flavours of Singapore even in transit.

Originally launched in 1971 as part of what was then the Mandarin Singapore hotel, Chatterbox pioneered elevating Singapore hawker cuisine in a luxury setting. Since then, its signature dishes have become beloved mainstays, contributing to its reputation both locally and internationally. Chatterbox Express also has a location in Hong Kong!

At Chatterbox Express, diners can expect to find local classics such as Singapore Curry Chicken (S$11.50 with rice, S$13 with bread). It wouldn’t be Chatterbox without the legendary Mandarin Chicken Rice (S$13.80 à la carte, S$16.80 as set), a dish whose recipe has become its own ritual over time.

For those with a sweet tooth, the menu also includes Southeast Asian snacks, or kuehs in collaboration with Chef Damian D’Silva of Rempapa. These are offered either as dine-in or takeaway, making it ideal for travellers wanting to bring a taste of Singapore with them.

Chatterbox Express is located at the Departure/Transit Lounge East Level 2, #02-52. It is open daily from 6am to 2am, making it a prime spot for both early and late travellers to indulge in authentic Singaporean delights on the go.
