The folks behind local music collectives Darker Than Wax and Ice Cream Sundays, have done it again with their new music-centric bar, Offtrack, located at North Canal Road. Opened on 22 January, the flagship space will provide a cosy new setting for like-minded souls to discover diverse sounds, celebrate creativity, and chill over delicious food and drinks.

It’s a pretty hard place to miss as their glass block shopfront with warm wooden panelling paired with the retro ‘Offtrack’ signage will ‘pop’ from the row of shophouses that are present around the area.

The warm wood panelling extends to the interior, with exposed steel beams, vintage glass blocks, and subtle finishings highlighted in a deep, mustard yellow. Additionally, it will also showcase two beautifully restored Klipsch La Scala speakers (akin to the ones that were used by David Mancuso and Alex Rosner at the legendary ‘Loft’ parties in NYC in the ’70s) in an acoustically enjoyable space.

Local and regional DJs are also expected to take the helm of a vinyl-friendly booth that paves the way for music that gets left in most traditional club settings.

Keep an eye out for their quirky-named cult classic cocktails ranging from S$20 like the Grasshopper or Between The Sheets. Not a fan of alcohol? Fret not, for they have non-alcoholic classics like Coffee (from $4)Mocktails (S$14), and the usual range of Soft Drinks (S$5).

All that chillin’ and vibin’ got you hungry? Of course, Offtrack understands. Over here they’ve a slew of yummy treats ranging from snacks to mains. Expect to find favourites like Crispy Wings (S$15)SF Style Garlic Noodles (S$14)Beef Onglet (S$34), and more.

Like many underground parties, do make your reservations early to avoid disappointment. Alternatively, Offtrack is also open to walk-ins.

The space aims to support artists and creatives, and intends to be a warm social space for those who are ‘Guided by Leisure’.
