If there is something we can all agree on, it’s that we’re all overworked (hint hint). Sometimes, all we need is a pint and good, honest food. Newly-opened Overworked Gastrobar, located at 7 Keppel Road aims to provide both.

Calling themselves a Western and Asian fusion pub, Overworked Gastrobar certainly lives up to that name. It has Asian staples such as Moo-Ping (S$10++) which is Thai-style grilled pork skewers and Lala soup (S$10++) which is the outlet’s remedy for a hangover, which might be useful later on.

Also available are modern and healthier takes on Asian cuisine in the form of Protein Poke Bowls. These bowls come in three Asian-influenced flavors, Soy Garlic Shrimp Bowl (S$12++), Saccharine Wasabi Smoked Salmon Bowl (S$12++) and Honey Mustard Smoked Duck Bowl (S$12++). Diners can choose between having the bowl with Soba or Quinoa.

Those who prefer Western food, you’re by no means getting the shorter end of the stick. Diners looking for something with a bite can opt for one of their Overworked burgers, Kombu Wagyu Burger (S$20++). Chicken lovers, you’re also covered with their Lemon Coke Chicken Burger (S$16++).

Now, for why you’re really here: the all day happy hour. Asahi Super Dry goes for S$9.80++ per pint, which is almost half a litre of frothy goodness. Those who prefer something more refreshing can opt for Kronenbourg Blanc (S$9.80++ per pint)

Diners who don’t drink (or have had one too many) can try their alcohol-free wine, Richard Juhlin Alkoholfri Rose (S$12++). Those who prefer something warm and gut-friendly can opt for their floral tea range, which includes Orange Rooibos Tea (S$7++) or Minty Hibiscus Berries Tea (S$7++).
