A vibrant new lineup of dishes is now available at both Burma Social locations in Tras Street and Siglap. These new creations are designed to bring even more flavour and excitement to the dining experience. At the Tras Street outlet, these new offerings are served all week for both lunch and dinner.

Get ready for new dim sum creations, including the Truffle Edamame & Chilli Foam (S$19), which combines savoury edamame and assorted vegetables, finished with truffle oil and an aromatic chilli foam. Also featured is the Gold-Dusted Prawn & Chives Har Gao (S$24), an elevated take on the classic dumpling filled with plump prawns, chives, and bamboo shoots and finished with a dusting of gold.

The new (and our favourite) BAO BUNS menu features the Soft-Shell Crab Bao (S$20), which is stuffed with sweet and crunchy soft-shell crab, pickled vegetables, and a kick of sriracha. Also available is the Chicken Teriyaki Bao (S$17), which has a sweet and savoury teriyaki chicken filling inside a soft, fluffy steamed bao.

Bringing new Japanese flavours to its menu, Burma Social introduces a new Sushi Rolls category. These exquisite delicacies are crafted by Burma Social’s Executive Chef, a celebrated talent who won second place in the Creative Sushi Open Competition at the World Sushi Cup in 2017. Highlights from the new menu include the Crispy Vegetable Tempura Roll (S$14), a crunchy vegetable roll crowned with I crumble, spiced mayo, and sun-dried spinach. Also featured is the Piquillo Wild Roll (S$14), which is rolled with piquillo pepper, asparagus, avocado, cucumber, and pickled radish, then finished with a vibrant chilli mango salsa. Ohhhhhh yum!

These are the perfect prelude to new MAIN COURSES, such as the Coastal Crab Curry & Pav (S$38). This dish features a house-made Malvani coconut curry and semolina-coated soft-shell crab, served with warm Indian ladi pav bread. Another new main is the Rangoon Laphet in Hot Stone (S$28), a classic Burmese dish of fragrant pickled tea leaves and vegetable fried rice served in a smoky hot stone pot.

12. Elevate your next dining experience at Firangi Superstar

Known for its cinematic flair and fearless flavours, Firangi Superstar has unveiled a refreshed menu of creative debuts and returning favourites. Inspired by India’s diverse culinary regions, each vibrant and imaginative dish is thoughtfully offered with a vegetarian alternative to cater to all dietary preferences.

Standout small plates include Papi’s Jammed Gun, a wagyu beef tartare served with crispy papdi, topped with caviar, grated egg, and the signature gunpowder spice. Its vegetarian counterpart swaps in a beetroot tartare and Moai Caviar, delivering the same hit of umami without the meat. Another returning favourite is This Is Also Not Aloo Gobi (but, it is) a Firangi take on a classic that features Romanesco cauliflower with spiced potato foam and a cashew raisin vinaigrette.

New additions include The Nut Kraken, which showcases octopus cooked pollichathu-style in a banana leaf and topped with coconut chips. The plant-based version features King Oyster Mushroom prepared in the same way, minus the tentacles. Also fresh to the table is the Big Baller Peperoner, a playful twist on classic Paneer Manchurian where creamy burrata replaces the iconic Indian cottage cheese, all served in a tangy, umami-rich sauce. This was divine – our table’s favourite dish!

firangi - fish and lamb dishes

The mains pay tribute to regional classics while embracing the signature Firangi touch. The Bengal Bake Off is a show-stopping, salt-dough baked seabass topped with a sharp kasundi cream sauce, a traditional Bengali fermented mustard sauce known for its complexity. A meatless standout is the Awadh We Go, an umami-packed portobello kofta with black lentils and nihari jus.

Firangi’s signature Back in the Saddle— a lamb dish —now also comes in a vegetarian version starring a smoky tandoori eggplant paired with a chickpea-cashew crumble and soul-warming dhal tadka. As a truly decadent centerpiece, the Royal Mug features tender, succulent chicken stuffed with quail eggs on a bed of velvety cashew cream sauce and freshly shaved black truffle.

Firangi Superstar has just turned 4, so celebrations are in order! Book your seat now and immerse in a culinary adventure like no other.
